The figure you are given covers recovery, isolation, removal of the listed units and quoted disposal. - Air conditioning removal: from £450 - More indoor units mean more recovery and more lifting on the day. - Refrigerant type and charge size set how long recovery takes. - Awkward access, like a condenser on a roof or above an extension, is priced at survey. - Making good and any new installation are separate items, so the removal figure stays honest. ## Air conditioning removal across Horndon-on-the-Hill We serve Horndon-on-the-Hill from our base in Stanford-le-Hope. - High Road - Mill Lane - Horndon village - Orsett Road - Saffron Garden - SS17 ## What happens on the day The appointment runs in three stages, in order, from arrival to the point the space is left safe. ### Confirm and recover The engineer walks the system with you, confirms every unit against the quote, then connects recovery equipment and pulls the refrigerant into a cylinder. ### Isolate and disconnect Power to the system is made safe, then the indoor and outdoor units are disconnected from their pipework and fixings and moved off site. ### Cap, check and clear Remaining pipe ends and cables are made safe, the listed equipment is loaded for disposal, and you are shown what came out and what stays behind. ## Questions about taking out air conditioning ### What happens to the gas inside the system? It is drawn into a recovery cylinder by the engineer before dismantling starts. Venting refrigerant is not allowed, so recovery is a fixed part of the work rather than an option. ### Can you take out just one indoor unit? Yes, where the system allows it. The survey checks whether the unit shares a condenser or pipe run with anything else, and the quote shows what is removed and what stays. ### Do I need the system working to have it removed? No. A dead or disconnected system still needs its refrigerant recovered and its supply isolated, and both happen as part of the same visit. ### Who disposes of the old equipment? We do. Quoted equipment disposal is part of the job, so the indoor units, outdoor condenser and removed pipework leave with the engineer rather than being left for you to shift. ### Will removal damage the decorations? Units come off their fixings without harming the wall, but screw holes and the paint edge behind them remain. Filling and decoration are priced separately as making good if you want them done. ## Other services in Horndon-on-the-Hill - [Air conditioning in Horndon-on-the-Hill](https://www.perenniaclimate.co.uk/air-conditioning-horndon-on-the-hill): Air conditioning in Horndon-on-the-Hill with Perennia Climate Services, not Home Air Conditioning Essex.
