Benfleet leak check price
Benfleet pays for the tests. What it costs depends on the equipment at South Benfleet or Thundersley, how we reach it on Hart Road or at Tarpots, and which instruments fit. The explanation is the end of the SS7 visit. The cost of mending, of parts and of new refrigerant comes from that finding.
Included when agreed
- Review of equipment and service history
- Operating checks relevant to refrigerant loss
- Leak detection on accessible components
- Explanation of findings
- A separate repair and recharge quote where needed
Ways to pay
- South Benfleet and Tarpots do not get refrigerant added while the cause is unknown.
- Pipe we cannot reach by hand in New Thundersley or on London Road is not in this price.
- Benfleet parts are quoted after the explanation, as their own line.
Air con regas and leak check across Benfleet
We serve Benfleet from our base in Stanford-le-Hope.
What happens on the day
In South Benfleet or at Tarpots the visit is a set of tests, not a top up. We read the gas name, compare it with how the rooms have been running, and inspect joints that are open at New Thundersley or by Benfleet station. An electronic leak detector and pressure gauges are used where they fit. The explanation is given on the day, and the repair quote is separate.
- Reading the Benfleet unitIf the outdoor case still shows them, we take the manufacturer, the model and the gas name. How the rooms behave in Thundersley or on Hart Road, together with any older paperwork, decides which tests are worth doing in SS7.
- Open joints in South BenfleetJoints we can get our hands to in South Benfleet, Tarpots or on London Road are checked by eye. A leak detector is applied where a joint looks damp or oily. Gauges tell us if the charge has dropped. Concealed pipe is not opened on this visit.
- Explaining the Benfleet testsWe talk through the tests and the finding from each one before a refill is mentioned. A low charge means repair and refrigerant are priced afterwards, and only on pipe that was open in New Thundersley or at Benfleet station. Filling is refused while gas is still escaping.

Do you test for gas loss in Benfleet?
Yes. Perennia Climate Services comes from Stanford-le-Hope to SS7, covering South Benfleet, Thundersley, New Thundersley, Tarpots, Benfleet station, Hart Road and London Road. A refill is discussed only once the tests have been explained.
Can you just gas a Thundersley unit?
No. Gas belongs inside the system. On a Thundersley or South Benfleet unit the reason for a low charge comes first, and only then does a refill get a price. Using a top up to hide the leak is outside these tests.
What do the Tarpots tests involve?
An eye check of joints we can reach, a leak detector on the ones that look wet or oily, and gauges if the charge needs measuring. Tarpots, Benfleet station and Hart Road limit how much of that we can do.
Is mending included in the Benfleet price?
No. You are paying for the tests and the explanation. Putting the leak right, any parts, and new refrigerant wait until the finding is clear and the pipe is open to us in New Thundersley or on London Road.
What should I have to hand in Benfleet?
Know the manufacturer and model if you can, plus the gas printed on the case and any warning on the controller. A note of how South Benfleet or Thundersley rooms have felt, and any older paperwork, lets us set the tests up before we arrive.
