Wickford removal price
Wickford removal is priced from the list made at Shotgate or Nevendon: how many pieces, how we reach them, how much pipe is in sight. Cutting the power, collecting the gas, taking the named pieces and disposal are that price. Scaffold, decorating, and a replacement system sit outside it.
From £450
Included when agreed
- Survey of units, pipework, power and access
- Safe electrical isolation
- Refrigerant recovery for the identified system
- Removal of listed indoor and outdoor equipment
- Capping or making safe the remaining services in the quote
- Quoted equipment disposal
Ways to pay
- A scaffold or lifting gear at Shotgate or by Wickford station is not in the removal price.
- Brick, roof and paint at Nevendon or Bromfords are a separate job.
- Pipe inside a Wickford wall, and wiring past the isolation, is another quote.
Air conditioning removal across Wickford
We serve Wickford from our base in Stanford-le-Hope.
What happens on the day
At Shotgate or on Wickford High Street we log the heads, the outdoor condenser and the visible pipe, plus how we will get to them. Power to that system is cut and the gas is drawn off under our REFCOM registration. What the quote names then leaves, open pipes are closed off, and disposal covers the pieces from Nevendon or Bromfords.
- The Wickford listHeads and the outdoor piece are written down one by one, with the pipe we can see and the way we reach the fixings. Shotgate, Nevendon and Bromfords are on that list when the equipment is there. The quote is the list.
- Power off, gas collectedWe cut power to the air conditioning only, so the rest of the building keeps its power. Before any bracket is undone we draw the gas off. REFCOM registration covers that draw, at Wickford station, on Wickford High Street or in Shotgate.
- Leaving NevendonThe list says which heads and which condenser come off. Those leave with us. Pipes on the list are closed off. Disposal is the pieces we remove from Bromfords or Wickford station. A new system is another quote.

WhatsAppDo you take air conditioning off buildings in Wickford?
Yes. From Stanford-le-Hope we cover SS11 and SS12: Wickford High Street, Shotgate, Nevendon, Bromfords and Wickford station. The quote is the list of what goes.
Is the gas collected before anything is unfixed?
Yes. Gas is collected under our REFCOM registration, and power is cut, before a fixing is loosened. Nothing is vented at Shotgate, Nevendon or Wickford station.
Will pipe inside a Bromfords wall come out?
Only if it is in sight and on the list. Pipe inside a wall or ceiling at Bromfords or on Wickford High Street stays. Opening a wall or ceiling is a different trade.
Who makes good in Wickford?
Brick, roof and paint stay off this quote when it does not name them. That work is priced by itself before it starts in Nevendon or Shotgate.
Can the old Wickford kit leave as part of a new install?
The old pieces can be on their own list. A replacement can be priced next to that list if you want one. Neither one assumes the other. The order is settled for Bromfords or Wickford station before we start.
